True “color blocking” is when two bright hues are paired in an almost contrasting way. Imagine a vivid, solid-color aqua shirt worn with similarly bright orange pants. It’s a bold choice.
I like what I’m seeing this spring in terms of color blocking taking on a more subtle tone.
Take this crew neck sweatshirt for instance. You have a highly saturated color paired with neutral dark jeans. Some might think it’s too watered down to even be called color blocking but I actually like it.
