Memorial Day is coming and nothing gets me more excited than a long weekend – especially when that long weekend includes sipping drinks by the pool. I’m escaping to the desert come Friday afternoon so here’s a cold drink I can’t wait to make:
This one’s pretty easy and, like most of my cocktails, it is completely open to interpretation.
You’ll just need some fresh blueberries, a sparkling berry soda, simple syrup (optional) and vodka!
- Muddle the blueberries in the bottom of your glass (that just means mush them up with a spoon to get the juices flowing)
- Add the soda (I went with a Lorina Sparkling Pomegranate Blueberry Premium French Soda – sounds fancy, huh?)
- Add ice and a splash of vodka (or champagne).
- You can also add some flavored simple syrup (1 part sugar + 1 part water + a handful of blueberries – combine in a saucepan over low heat and set aside to cool before using)
