Tomorrow marks the 141st running of the Kentucky Derby so you know what that means! Mint Juleps :)
“The Run for the Roses,” so called for the pile of roses gifted to the winning horse, was the best time to partner with Four Roses bourbon to make a delicious mint julep.
These are super easy – certainly easier than picking out the perfect pastels and oversized hat for the big race. So if you’re feeling nervous about your outfit choice, throw a few of these back and just enjoy looking at the pretty horses.
1 teaspoon powdered sugar
2 oz. Four Roses bourbon whiskey
2 teaspoons water
4 mint leaves
This one is as easy as muddling some mint with the sugar and water in a glass. Then just fill the glass with crushed ice (you’ll need more than you think) and stir it together. Garnish with a mint sprig and enjoy!
