Blackberry Bourbon Smash
2 oz. Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey
1 oz. simple syrup
1/2 oz. lemon juice
Simple syrup, as you know, is just equal parts water and sugar mixed over low heat to dissolve the sugar. Make a batch ahead of time and store it in the fridge to have on hand – it’s tasty in a ton of drinks.
Start by muddling a small handful of blackberries in the bottom of your cocktail shaker (or glass). Add the Four Roses Bourbon, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Shake (or mix) well with ice and serve!
This recipe is also easy to make ahead of time in a big batch that you can easily stir up and serve over ice.
